Smile Education is seeking a dependable and experienced School Caretaker to work within a school setting. Applicants must have prior experience in a school environment and be confident carrying out general site maintenance and basic building repairs. Role Responsibilities: Maintain the school site, buildings, and outdoor areas Open and secure the premises each day, ensuring site safety throughout Carry out minor repairs and organise contractors for larger maintenance work Oversee and support cleaning staff Complete general porterage and site support duties Act as a key holder for the school Monitor, inspect, and record cleaning and maintenance activity Work closely with the School Business Manager to identify and prioritise repairs Carry out non-specialist maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing and decorating Maintain accurate records and documentation Supervise, support, and train site staff Essential Requirements: Previous experience working in a school setting Practical maintenance experience Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS clearance Professional references Why Choose Smile Education? At Smile Education, your hard work is valued.
