Built on strong values of safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and professionalism, the business continues to grow through major infrastructure projects across the UK.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Plant Fitter to join a stable and expanding company in a home-based, field service role covering Nottingham, Peterborough, and Cambridge.Role OverviewService, maintain, and repair construction plant machinery up to 30 tonnes across multiple sitesDiagnose faults and carry out efficient, high-quality repairs on excavators and associated plant equipmentWork with Hitachi excavators and a range of contractor plant, including LGVsOperate independently from a home-based setup with a company van and mobile phone providedTravel across Nottingham, Peterborough, and Cambridge to attend reactive and scheduled maintenance workEnsure all machinery is maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with manufacturer specificationsComplete all service documentation, job sheets, and reports accurately and on timeManage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet operational demandsMaintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and attention to detail at all timesCommunicate professionally with site teams and internal colleagues where requiredRequirementsStrong understanding of construction plant machinery and maintenance practicesProven experience working with Hitachi excavators and contractor plant (including LGVs)Good knowledge of site procedures and operational requirementsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload under pressureHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailFull clean UK driving licenceNVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance (preferred but not essential)Salary & Benefits£45,000 - £50,000 depending on experienceCompany van providedMobile phone providedHome-based working arrangementRegional travel only (Nottingham, Peterborough, Cambridge)Stable long-term opportunity within a growing organisationStrong company values focused on safety, quality, and professionalism Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.We are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for.
