About the Role
Justteachers are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bradford on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire the next generation of musicians and contribute to a thriving Music department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, promote a love of music, and support students in developing their practical, theoretical, and performance skills. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play an active role in supporting extracurricular music activities, performances, and school productions while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and creative Music lessons. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students. Prepare students for examinations and assessments where applicable. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Lead or support extracurricular music clubs, ensembles, and performances. Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum. Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers. Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Degree in Music or a related subject. Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Music education. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
