The Role
The Operational Strategy team works across the enterprise to establish investment and partnership strategies to meet customer demand, improve company performance, and introduce new technologies into the shipyard. In this position, you will support operational strategy development by performing deep-dive data analytics, monitoring shipbuilding throughput metrics, and identifying operational constraints. You will provide the objective data and diagnostic insights necessary for stakeholders to execute high-level strategies.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting cross-functional teams by gathering and organizing data related to investment strategies across operations, supply chain, workforce, and infrastructure.
Performing diagnostic analyses and trend monitoring to help senior leads identify specific bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
Evaluating new technologies and processes through research and pilot-program data tracking to determine their potential to streamline operations.
Contributing to value creation plans by performing ROI calculations, drafting sections of business cases, and maintaining project roadmaps.
Assisting in the preparation of strategy documents and visual presentations for internal leadership, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience;
Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree :
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
