About the Role
Who We Are
We are partnering with a well-established real estate and property management organization seeking an Accounting Manager spearhead the financial operations of a growing portfolio of commercial and/or multifamily properties.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team and working with property managers, tracking financial performance across multiple properties, and ensuring financial records are accurate and organized.
You will work closely with property managers, accounting teams, and leadership to maintain accurate financial reporting, oversee tenant accounting, and support the overall financial health of the property portfolio.
What You’ll Do
Manage accounting functions for a portfolio of commercial and/or multifamily properties
Prepare monthly property financial statements and reporting
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned properties
Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, and tenant charges
Manage tenant ledgers including rent billing, payments, and adjustments
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
Assist with CAM reconciliations and tenant expense allocations
Support budgeting and forecasting for assigned properties
Work closely with property managers to monitor property performance and expenses
Month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain accurate financial records within the Yardi property management system

What You Need to Have
Experience in property accounting or real estate accounting
Strong understanding of financial reporting and general ledger accounting
Experience with **Yardi property management software**
Ability to manage financials across multiple properties
Strong organizational and communication skills

Experience using Yardi accounting software
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Strong Excel skills
Ability to work collaboratively with property managers and operations teams
Preferred
Experience with CAM reconciliations and tenant billing
Experience in commercial or multifamily property accounting
Knowledge of lease structures including NNN leases
Experience preparing owner financial reports
