<p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;">The Associate Product Manager supports the product team in executing category strategy and day-to-day product tasks that serve our automotive technician customers and franchisee partners. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Operations to help evaluate product opportunities, deliver product launches, manage product life cycles, and monitor category performance. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;">This role is based in our <strong>Stow, OH office with a hybrid schedule</strong>. This position <strong>does not offer a work visa</strong> sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA without the need for employer-sponsored visa support <strong>now or in the future.</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Support development and execution of category plans by gathering data, preparing materials and contributing inputs to long-range roadmaps.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Assist in creating product specifications and documentation for new and existing items (inventory needs, basic pricing inputs, anticipated unit volumes, and launch timelines) under PM guidance.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Help coordinate go-to-market activities: liaise with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations to prepare launch checklists, collateral, and training materials.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Help maintain product data and systems (SKU setup, attributes, pricing updates, and compliance documents) to ensure accuracy across channels.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Plan and help coordinate product promotions across multiple promotional channels to both automotive technician customers and franchisee partners.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Monitor product and promotional performance by collecting sales, margin and inventory data; prepare regular reports and basic analyses to surface trends and issues.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Conduct market and competitive research: gather competitor info, summarize market trends, and produce concise briefs for the team.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Support product lifecycle tasks, including product changes, discontinuations, and “test & learn” pilots; coordinate testing logistics and capture results.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Coordinate cross-functional meetings, track action items, and follow up to keep projects on schedule.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Provide frontline product information and simple training support to Sales and franchisees; create and update quick reference guides and FAQs.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Perform other duties as assigned to help the product team meet category KPIs (growth, revenue, margin, and operational targets).</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:12px;">1–3 years in product, marketing, category management, merchandising, or a related role; automotive aftermarket or B2B2C exposure is a plus.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Proven ability to support product planning and lifecycle activities (specs, launches, basic pricing inputs).</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Strong analytical skills with comfort in Excel/Google Sheets and preparing concise reports to surface trends and KPIs.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Clear written and verbal communicator; comfortable presenting to small groups and creating user-facing materials.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, track follow-ups, and meet deadlines.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset and eagerness to learn and grow in product management.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Basic project coordination/process skills and experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or Supply Chain.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Preferred: familiarity with SKU setup, ERP/PLM/PIM systems, inventory concepts, or supporting commercial/pricing.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:12px;">1–3 years in product, marketing, category management, merchandising, or a related role; automotive aftermarket or B2B2C exposure is a plus.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>CAREER PATH</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Potential to grow into role such as Product Manager.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:12px;">Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</span></li><li><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.</span></p><p> </p></li></ul><p style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="color:#000000;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">Vontier partners with you and your family on your health and wellness journey.
