Boyd Hall Pay Grade: Professional Hourly Job Description: Job Summary: The Talent Operations Specialist plays a critical role in the daily execution and support of LSU’s hiring processes. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of talent acquisition transactions in Workday and supports departments and hiring managers throughout the recruitment life-cycle. The Talent Operations Specialist is detail-oriented, organized, and service-focused, ensuring a seamless experience for both internal stakeholders and candidates. Job Responsibilities: 35%-Recruitment Process Support - Process and monitor recruitment and hiring transactions in Workday for faculty and staff positions in assigned units. Assist with job requisition creation and updates, job postings, applicant tracking, candidate progression, offer generation and processing, and onboarding documentation. Review candidate materials for minimum qualifications and ensure timely, accurate transaction processing in accordance with TA Priorities along with University and system policies. 25%- Department & Hiring Manager Support-Serve as primary point of contact for departments and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Advise on hiring procedures, timelines, and next steps; respond to inquiries regarding transaction status; and assist departments in navigating Workday recruitment processes to deliver positive and efficient customer service. Compile/deliver quarterly departmental hiring and staffing workforce metrics to support efficiency in hiring practices including succession and workforce planning. 20%- Data Integrity, Compliance & Quality Assurance-Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of recruitment-related data in Workday. Conduct regular reviews of transactions to identify errors or inconsistencies, resolve issues independently or in coordination with central HRM teams and/or external campus departments, and ensure all activity aligns with LSU policies, system requirements, and audit standards. Create internal SOPs and external job aids to support new talent acquisition hiring or operational practices as well as update existing SOPs and job aids as needed. 15%- System Support, Workflow Improvement and Projects-Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of recruitment workflows and system functionality. Participate in testing and validation of Talent Acquisition system updates and HCM modifications. Collaborate with HRM partners on projects, including recruiting tools, training development, career fairs, and talent pipeline initiatives. Collaborate with HRM Compensation to establish college/departmental partnerships and strengthen hiring plan strategy and execution. 5%- Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with some professional experience.
