Responsibilities will include: Producing monthly management accounts Month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns Managing the relationship with an outsourced payroll provider Overseeing day-to-day transactional processes including: Accounts Payable Credit Control / Accounts Receivable Reviewing and improving finance systems and processes to make things more efficient and insightful There’s genuine scope here to make your mark, particularly around process improvement, reporting, and use of dashboards. You’ll be someone who’s comfortable working independently and enjoys having ownership. Ideally, you’ll bring: Solid all-round accounts experience (SME background ideal) Strong working knowledge of Sage Experience improving processes, or a natural curiosity to make things better Good communication skills – able to work confidently with non-finance colleagues A well-organised, proactive approach with good attention to detail Experience with dashboards or system upgrades would be a bonus, but attitude and capability matter more than ticking every box.
