Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve production operations through the development of manufacturing processes, test systems, tooling, and documentation.
This role offers hands-on involvement across manufacturing, test, and engineering functions and is well-suited for an engineer who enjoys working close to the factory floor while driving process efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and provide technical expertise to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, processes, tooling, and test solutions in support of plant production activities. This role plays a key part in continuous improvement, new product support, and production readiness within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and support manufacturing, assembly, and test processes for electronic and electromechanical products
Design, build, and maintain electrical and electronic test fixtures, jigs, and automated test equipment (ATE)
Utilize engineering tools and statistical methods to monitor, control, and improve manufacturing processes
Investigate production and process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
Create and maintain production-level documentation, work instructions, and procedures
Specify and initiate the purchase of manufacturing tools, fixtures, equipment, and supplies
Plan, specify, and justify capital equipment expenditures
Lead or participate in product and process improvement initiatives
Design and develop test systems and electronic subsystems supporting product test and assembly
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams using concurrent engineering principles
Support additional manufacturing engineering initiatives as assigned
Working knowledge of electronic test fixture and test system design
Hands-on engineering approach with frequent interaction across manufacturing, test, and engineering teams
Proficiency with common business software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, and ERP systems preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to work with ITAR-controlled technical data
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Preference for candidates with 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting electronics or high-reliability manufacturing environments is a plus
