About the Role
<strong>Domestic Gas Engineer / Trainee Commercial Engineer £44/46k – South London/Surrey </strong><br><br> <strong> </strong><br><br> My client are a commercial heating company who have been in operation for 25 years, providing mechanical engineering solutions to their customer portfolio.<br><br> <br><br> They are now seeking a time served domestic heating engineer who is looking to obtain their commercial gas tickets. <br><br> All candidates must live within the south London/Surrey catchment area. <br><br> <br><br> <strong>Key Duties</strong><br><br> <strong> </strong><br><ul><li>Carry out planned service work on commercial and domestic combustion appliances (boilers, water heaters etc), plumbing, and some HVAC equipment (commercial appliances when fully trained / qualified)</li><ul><li>Install and replace HVAC appliances, including pipework and plumbing as part of small works projects.</li><li>Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in various heating systems.</li><li>Maintain accurate service records using internal systems.</li><li>Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota</li></ul></ul> <br><br> <strong>Skills And Experience</strong><br><br> <strong> </strong><br><ul><li>Experience with both commercial and domestic heating systems, including installation and maintenance of HVAC equipment.</li><ul><li>Domestic Gas Safe certification is essential (commercial appliances when fully trained / qualified)</li><li>Knowledge of plumbing and pipework installation.</li><li>Understanding of heating systems within residential and commercial environments.</li><li>Ability to write RAMS and Safe Systems of Work.</li><li>Strong communication skills and commitment to customer care.</li><li>Full driving licence and willingness to travel.</li><li>Enhanced DBS check required for work in schools and colleges.</li></ul></ul> <br><br> <strong>Salary And Benefits</strong><br><ul><li>£44/46k basic salary</li></ul><ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience, with opportunities for further training and professional development to obtaining their commercial gas elements</li><ul><li>Full support and specialist tools are provided</li><li>8.00 to 16.30 site hours</li><li>Pension Scheme with salary sacrifice scheme of 4% Employer contribution* Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Van, Fuel Card, Phone, PDA and PPE, travel time and plenty of overtime on offer</li><li>22 days + bank holiday</li><li>This is a great opportunity for an experienced domestic engineer to join a long established company that offers great benefits and ongoing career development.</li><li>Call-out rota (currently 1 in 6 weeks, for weekdays OOH and weekends) £100 standby</li></ul></ul>
