We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Plumber / Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management team at a secure site in Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in commercial plumbing, mechanical maintenance, and gas systems who is looking for a permanent Monday–Friday position.

Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial Plumber / Mechanical Engineer, your duties will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on mechanical and plumbing systems
- Maintaining and repairing commercial and domestic gas systems
- Fault finding and repairing plant equipment and mechanical systems
- Installing and replacing mechanical plant and plumbing equipment
- Ensuring compliance records and maintenance documentation are completed accurately
- Supporting wider facilities maintenance operations across the site
- Working safely and following all health & safety regulations and site procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this Commercial Plumber role, you should have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent trade qualification
- Experience working within commercial maintenance or facilities management
- Gas Safe Registration with commercial and domestic experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
- Experience working in secure environments, healthcare, MOD, prisons, or large commercial sites
- Authorised Person (AP) qualification or willingness to undertake training
