About the Role

Location: Grimsby
Salary: NJC SCP 3 (Pro-rata)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Contract: Term Time Only plus 5 days
Start Date: September 2026

Join Our Dedicated Team! We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our supportive school community in Grimsby from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and making a positive difference in the classroom.

About the Role As a Teaching Assistant (Level 2), you will work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing. You will play an important role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, providing both classroom and individual support to pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning activities.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and improve outcomes.
  • Assist in preparing learning resources and maintaining an organised classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with varying educational needs, including those with SEND.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupils' social and emotional development.
  • Help monitor and record pupil progress where required.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children at all times.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience of working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Has a good understanding of child development and effective learning strategies.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting all pupils to succeed.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
  • Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
