Hours may vary based on demand. Ideal for those seeking flexible, non-scheduled work.</strong></p><p>The Driver, under general supervision, performs transportation and delivery duties. They use a motor vehicle to ensure proper distribution of materials or passengers within the health system.</p><h4>Essential Functions of the Role</h4><ul><li>Prepares supplies, equipment, special parcels, etc. for outbound delivery.</li><li>Safely transports patients/clients utilizing all available safety devices and procedures.</li><li>Ensures correct staging of merchandise for delivery to the right building or warehouse. Ensures supplies and packages are securely prepared for delivery.</li><li>Loads trucks safely and delivers supplies, equipment and other items.</li><li>Operates truck in difficult delivery situations such as congested city streets and narrow passageways.</li><li>Completes driver log or trip report in accordance with DOT regulations.</li><li>Complies with all department of transportation (DOT) and company regulations, policies, and standards pertaining to fleet safety compliance.</li><li>Maintains delivery vehicles in clean, working condition; diligently checks fuel, oil, water and transmission fluid levels daily, replenishing as needed.</li></ul><h4>Key Success Factors</h4><ul><li>Ability to provide consistently excellent customer service with empathy, patience and confidence.</li><li>Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.</li><li>Must be able to read, write and follow instructions and flow chart protocols.</li><li>Able to balance multiple demands and respond to time constraints.</li><li>Basic computer skills, including but not limited to: typing, information security, electronic medical documentation, handheld scanning and email.</li></ul><h4>Belonging Statement</h4><p>We believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported.</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><ul><li>EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent</li><li>EXPERIENCE - 1 Year of Experience</li><li>CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -</li></ul><p> Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.</p>
