An instrumental member of our education division, Regional Divisional Manager, Niall Murphy walked away as our Employee of the Year. Along with excelling in his role, Niall cemented himself as a reliable, positive and caring influence amongst the rest of our employees.

Alongside being crowned our top biller in the temp sector, Richard Shorrock was named ‘Temporary Recruiter of the Year’ at the 2024 REC Awards, an accolade which showcases the outstanding achievements he made throughout 2024.
Luke MeeksSUPPORT OF THE YEAR
As Creative Lead, Luke Meeks worked on multiple outstanding campaigns throughout 2024, including our Big Community Build and filming for our Safeguarding Children in Schools course. These are just two of many projects that made him a very worthy winner of Support of the Year.

As head of our fastest growing team, Regional Director, Jamie Heath, led our education division from strength to strength throughout 2024. His team consistently exceeded expectations under Jamie’s management.

After scooping not one, but two awards at the 2024 REC Awards - including Agency Star of the Year - Divisional Manager, Richard Shorrock, topped off a fantastic year by being named our overall top biller.
Compliance & PayrollTEAM OF THE YEAR
After a busy year completing multiple audits, it was our Compliance and Payroll department who won Team of the Year. We were over the moon to pass all audits with flying colours which included achieving 100% in two Reed audits, over 99% in our APSCO+ audit and a pass for our NHS CCS audit.

An accolade awarded for exuding our culture, Lead Consultant, Matt Byrne-Fraser, was an obvious winner. Remaining resilient when changing markets and diving head first into a new challenge, Matt showcased exactly what it means to be an SCG Culture Champion.
Nicole SherwoodUNSUNG HERO
Tasked with developing our Career Hubs and enhancing the candidate experience, Content Writer, Nicole Sherwood, was recognised as our Unsung Hero. After producing a plethora of insightful content, Nicole helped to increase our website traffic by 97% during 2024.
Paul BestBEST NEWCOMER
After a year which saw our headcount nearly double in size, Principal Consultant, Paul Best, was the very worthy winner of Best Newcomer. Part of our education team, Paul worked with countless SEN schools throughout 2024, providing a seamless recruitment service to all.
Joe O'HalloranMOST IMPROVED
Managing Consultant, Joe O’Halloran, started 2024 with an ambition to grow our Property and Regeneration market. Over the course of the year, Joe achieved consistent growth within the division which led to a well deserved promotion along with hitting company milestones and achieving his personal targets.

For this hotly contended award, it was the education team, managed by Jamie Heath, who claimed the title after an exceptional year of growth. As a team of 11 at the end of 2023, the education team have demonstrated what can be achieved when you work hard and as part of a team.

Working hard behind the scenes, it was Marketing Executive, Ellie Wallbank who claimed the title of Unsung Hero for her marketing efforts, charity work and dedication to office culture - which includes keeping our office plants alive!

Regional Divisional Manager, Niall Murphy claimed the Best Newcomer award through his positive impact on the education team and wider office - which includes keeping us entertained with his angelic singing voice!

It was Managing Consultant, Sophie Payne, who scooped the Most Improved award! After joining us in 2022, Sophie has demonstrated what can be achieved through resilience and hard work.
