You will be accountable for the dependability, security, and effectiveness of SCADA systems supporting vital oil and gas assets. Your role exceeds just system upkeep—you will protect operational integrity, minimize risk, and assure both leadership and field teams have access to precise, real-time data continuously.</p> <p>As the go-to person for intricate technical matters, you will supervise system upgrades and enhancements while aligning operational technology with evolving business and cybersecurity standards.</p> <p><strong>Where You&#8217;ll Be</strong><br />Hybrid role situated in <strong>Morgantown, WV</strong>, requiring three days of on-site work per week and occasional travel to field sites or well locations as needed.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>Duties</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Manage the SCADA environment, blending hands-on issue resolution with strategic system optimization</p> </li> <li> <p>Act proactively to sustain SCADA systems, ensuring 24/7 reliability for field operations</p> </li> <li> <p>Handle complex incidents by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and communication problems</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure operational data is accurate, reliable, and always available for strategic decisions</p> </li> <li> <p>Oversee SCADA system upgrades, security patches, and technology upkeep with methodical change management practices</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage communication pathways between field devices (PLCs, RTUs, IEDs) and mainframe SCADA systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Facilitate the incorporation of new assets and expand existing systems for seamless operational flow</p> </li> <li> <p>Promote best practices in OT cybersecurity, access control, and regulatory adherence for critical infrastructure</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and IT units to introduce improvements and align field systems with enterprise norms</p> </li> <li> <p>Keep detailed system documentation and assist with internal and external audits through precise technical records</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related technical field</p> </li> <li> <p>Bring 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale applications, with a preference for oil and gas or energy sector exposure</p> </li> <li> <p>Extensive knowledge of <strong>SCADA platforms, structures, and real-time monitoring systems</strong> for complex field operations</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with <strong>PLCs, RTUs, IEDs, field instrumentation</strong>, and industrial control systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols and networks like <strong>Modbus, DNP3, OPC, TCP/IP</strong>, and telemetry solutions (radio, cellular, fiber)</p> </li> <li> <p>Sound grasp of <strong>OT cybersecurity principles</strong>, access control, and regulatory mandates for critical infrastructure</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities, with proficiency in documenting systems and communicating technical details to non-technical individuals</p> </li> <li> <p>At ease in a role that blends desk duties with frequent field interactions</p> </li> <li> <p>Willing to support the continuous nature of operations, including on-call rotations and responding to incidents</p> </li> </ul> </div>
