About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1/2 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Rishton , starting in September . This is a full-time, temporary position offering long-term supply cover, with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils’ learning and development throughout the academic year. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive school community that prides itself on providing an inclusive, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop a love of learning. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a mixed Year 1/2 class in line with the National Curriculum. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports pupil progress and wellbeing. Assess, monitor and track pupil attainment, providing appropriate support and challenge. Establish strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues. Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school’s values and expectations. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience of teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally including mixed-age classes. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum and effective assessment practices. An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
