About the role: Justteachers is currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive school in Keighley seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026 . This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous pastoral, behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, or education experience who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted support to pupils displaying challenging behaviours or requiring additional emotional support. Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and participation in learning. Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies and individual support plans. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, SEND staff, and parents/carers. Assist pupils in developing social, emotional, and communication skills. Promote positive behaviour and help pupils regulate their emotions effectively. Support students during lessons, break times, and other school activities as required. Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing. Pre-requisites: Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour support, mentoring, youth work, care, or educational setting. A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to remain calm, resilient, and professional in challenging situations. A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed. A patient, empathetic, and consistent approach. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain on
