About the Role

TMM Recruitment are supporting a well-established organisation in their search for an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance Team on a 3-month temporary basis. This is an opportunity for someone with experience in accounting to develop their skills within a structured and supportive environment, gaining exposure across a broad range of core finance duties with a strong focus on accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end support.

     

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, coding, and processing a high volume of supplier invoices.
  • Raising intercompany invoices, ensuring accuracy.
  • Performing bank and general ledger reconciliations, investigating discrepancies.
  • Preparing and managing weekly and ad-hoc payment runs.
  • Assisting with month-end close, including preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Supporting the production and analysis of financial statements.
  • Providing support during internal and external audit processes.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts or finance role.
  • Ability to start a new role on short notice.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the business, and both written and verbal.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.
  • Confident communicator, both internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, organised, and keen to develop within a finance function.
