About the Role

​As Sales Development Team Lead, you will be managing the team responsible for client research, outbound prospecting, and lead nurturing, as a shared service to our sector-aligned commercial teams. You will be coaching and mentoring early career, sales-focused individuals, guiding their professional development towards more senior sales roles across the organisation. You will drive standards and innovative approaches to client insight generation, personalised outreach to qualified targets, and collaboration with our commercial teams, marketing, and consultants. In this role, you will be responsible for data quality within CRM systems and reporting on the activities of your team by way of maintaining up-to-date records. Weekly and monthly reporting will be part of data management and sharing insights with the commercial teams. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, constantly seeking routes to improved efficacy and efficiency. ​This role reports to the Chief Growth Officer.  Key Responsibilities Sales Development Client research approach and quality ​Preliminary lead qualification ​Outbound prospecting approach and activity ​Lead nurturing approach and activity ​Market presence amplification Leadership Managing the activity and performance of the Sales Development team Coaching and mentoring Sales Development team in day-to-day approach and activity Guiding professional development of individuals in Sales Development team Collaboration Align sales development approach and activity to sector strategies, messaging, marketing, and business development efforts Support development of sector strategies Work with sector teams to transfer qualified leads Administrative Maintaining high-quality lead and prospecting data and records in CRM Tracking team’s performance and success Monitoring efficacy of tooling and other investments, proposing improvements Communication Translating sector propositions, messaging, and collateral into effective outbound prospecting Regular reporting on team’s activity, efficiency, efficacy, and success
