Live-in or Live-out Housekeeper Job in Tring, Hertfordshire

A valued returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced Housekeeper, either live-in or live-out, to support their household in their beautiful modern home in Tring, Hertfordshire. The family has three boys aged 13, 11, and 7, along with a small, friendly dog. They are looking for a reliable, kind, and proactive individual who will become a trusted and supportive presence within the home. The property is a contemporary five-bedroom house set across three floors, requiring high standards of housekeeping and organisation. This position is offered as maternity cover for their current Housekeeper and will be for a period of 9 months, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. 

• Daily cleaning and housekeeping to a high standard

• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management

• Light cooking and food preparation

• Plant care and seeing in deliveries

• Prepare their holiday property (petrol costs will be covered)

• House and pet sitting when the family is away

• Occasional visits to the family’s holiday home on the South Coast (travel costs covered) to prepare and clean the property

• Ensuring the home is well-organised, tidy, and running smoothly

The ideal candidate:

• Experienced, trustworthy, and highly organised

• Has a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail

• Flexible and happy to help with a range of household tasks

• Comfortable working around children and animals (must love dogs)

• Ideally a driver but is not essential

Accommodation: Recently converted garage with separate entrance. Small pets may be considered. 

Working week: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week 

Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with some flexibility

Start date: Ideally around 8th July - 9 month contract with potential to go permanent

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 GPA (depending on experience)
