About the Role

Key Responsibilities include: Acting as a key person to ensure young people feel safe, supported, and happy in their living environment Supporting residents with budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing appointments Helping residents maintain their tenancy and understand their rights and responsibilities Providing emotional support and encouragement to build confidence and resilience Assisting in crisis situations and making on-the-spot decisions Facilitating access to education, employment, health services, and other community resources Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care/support plans Working flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and nights as required Participating in training and development opportunities Essential qualities we're looking for: Positive, approachable, and non-judgmental attitude Patience, good sense of humour, and resilience Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience or willingness to work with vulnerable young people, including those with complex needs such as mental health issues or a history of homelessness Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
