Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board-Certified Pediatricians for a locum tenens assignment in Edenton, North Carolina. This outpatient role offers a balanced mix of clinic and call coverage within a community-based pediatric practice, supporting a small inpatient census and comprehensive outpatient services.

- Average of 20 patients per day in the office
- One inpatient admission per day; inpatient census typically one
- Onsite lab and minor procedures available
- EMR: EPIC
- Provider will need to attend orientation and EHR training the day before the first shift
Schedule Details
- Dates: August 10-14, August 17-21, August 24-28, August 31-September 1
- Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Days per week: 3 days during scheduled weeks
- Call: One night per week; one weekend per month
- Call shared with pediatrician, NP, and family medicine physician
- No ICU or ER backup coverage required
Clinical Scope
- Outpatient pediatric care including well-child exams, vaccines, and sick visits
- Response to codes: No, unless in the nursery
- Attend C-sections when requested by OB provider
- Perform onsite lab testing, minor procedures such as suturing and ear irrigation, and POC testing for strep, flu, and RSV
- Manage inpatient admissions and nursery care as needed
Practice Environment
- Small community outpatient clinic with 6 exam rooms and onsite lab services
- Support team includes 1 MD, 1 FNP, and 4 nurses/MAs
- EMR: EPIC
Requirements
- Active North Carolina medical license
- MD degree
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- BLS and PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient pediatric care
- Comfortable with minor procedures and nursery attendance
