SAP CE Utilities Programmierer / BOL / GENIL (m/w/d)

Project Description:

• Implement and deliver Customer Service functionality for an S/4HANA Utilities rollout during the Realize phase, focusing on technical implementation, extensions and integrations required to operate customer-facing processes. The Senior Developer will use BOL/GENIL and the CE process framework (CX) where appropriate to implement robust, testable and transportable solutions that meet the agreed business requirements and pass acceptance tests.

Tasks:

1) Technical design for Customer Service enhancements

• Deliverable: Technical design document (BOL/GENIL object model updates, CE process flows, interface mapping, UI requirements) covering all agreed Realize-scope user stories.

2) Implement BOL / GENIL extensions and business object customizations

• Deliverable: Transportable developer artifacts (classes, GENIL models, BOL registrations, enhancement implementations) checked into version control and delivered as transport requests.

3) Implement CE process-framework (CX) based process logic

• Deliverable: CE process implementations (process steps, actions, agent routing, rules) and configuration saved in transports with process test scripts.

4) Documentation and knowledge transfer

• - Deliverable: Technical specifications, API/interface documentation, runbooks, deployment instructions and at least one recorded knowledge transfer session (or live workshop) for operations/support.

Notes / Expectations

• The Senior Developer is expected to own the end-to-end technical delivery for the assigned Customer Service work packages, produce transportable artifacts, and run required unit tests independently, coordinating with Solution Architect and Test Lead.

• Beneficial competencies: demonstrable experience with BOL / GENIL, SAP CE process framework and CX patterns should be applied to minimize custom code and align with clean-core principles. Where possible, use standard CE/BOL constructs and document any justified deviations.

• All deliverables must include clear owners, version control references (transport IDs, repo links), and measurable acceptance criteria to enable traceable sign-off.

Delivery Scope Description

• Technical implementation of Customer Service functionalities as part of the NEW S/4 Utility Transformation during the Realize phase.

• The scope includes the design and development of Customer Service enhancements, business object extensions, process logic, and required integrations within the S/4HANA Utilities environment using BOL/GENIL and the CE Process Framework (CX). The Senior Developer is responsible for technical design, development of transportable solutions, unit testing, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer to support a successful delivery and readiness for the planned go-live on January 1, 2028.
