A leading and rapidly growing manufacturer in the FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Logistics Consultant to drive operational excellence across its supply chain network. This is a high-impact role focused on improving warehouse efficiency, optimising processes, and enhancing the performance of third-party logistics (3PL) partners. This role will be an initial 6 month contract, with the potential of being offered a permanent position.
The Role
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to assess current logistics and warehousing operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement scalable improvements. With a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, you will lead initiatives that enhance throughput, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the distribution network.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and redesigning warehouse layouts, workflows, and inventory management processes
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations
- Managing and optimising relationships with 3PL providers, ensuring performance, compliance, and value delivery
- Developing KPIs and performance metrics to monitor operational effectiveness
- Identifying opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and process standardisation
- Supporting strategic planning for future growth and capacity requirements
About You
- Proven experience in logistics consulting, supply chain optimisation, or a similar role
- Strong expertise in managing and improving 3PL relationships
- Demonstrated success in driving warehouse efficiency and process improvement initiatives
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience within FMCG or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
