About the Role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a polished and dynamic Travelling Household Manager to oversee the seamless operation of a Lady's private residences across Europe and the United States. We are seeking a dedicated, live-in professional to act as the Lady's right hand, ensuring the highest standards of service, operational excellence, and meticulous attention to detail across all properties. Schedule: The position is permanent, full-time and live-in! Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Operations: Directly supervise and manage household staff across multiple residences, fostering a positive, professional, and discreet work environment. Develop daily and weekly staff schedules, manage task rotations, and coordinate annual leave to ensure uninterrupted, seamless service. Review, revise, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and the Lady's preferred standards across all properties. Conduct regular, unannounced inspections and audits to ensure compliance with household standards. Property & Event Management: Plan and execute events of all scales, from intimate formal dinners to larger private gatherings, ensuring flawless service and presentation. Source, vet, and manage relationships with contractors and specialist service providers for maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance (fire alarms, CCTV, etc.). Maintain detailed logs for all property assets and equipment, tracking warranties, servicing, and repair history. Stay current with home automation and property management software, ensuring staff are properly trained and systems are utilized effectively. Inventory, Procurement & Budgeting: Oversee all household purchasing and procurement, ensuring all items meet the Lady's standards for quality while remaining cost-effective. Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date inventory of all assets, including furniture, art, vehicles, fine furnishings, and household supplies, conducting regular audits. Prepare and manage annual operating budgets for each property, track expenses meticulously, and provide accurate monthly financial reports. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favourable terms and service-level agreements. Review and approve all invoices against the approved budget. The Ideal Candidate: Experience: Proven experience in a senior supervisory role within multi-property private households, luxury hotels, or high-end resorts. A stable career history with a minimum of 2-3 years in each role is essential. Essential Requirements: Holds a valid EU Passport. Willing and able to work on a permanent, live-in basis, travelling between residences. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is considered a valuable bonus. Experience working with high-profile clients, particularly from the Middle East, is a significant bonus. Must be culturally aware and adaptable. Deep operational knowledge of household management, including strong, hands-on experience with Butler services, formal catering, and high-end Food & Beverage operations. A natural leader with a friendly, approachable character and excellent communication skills. Highly organized, proactive, and capable of building and leading strong, cohesive teams. Start: ASAP Net Salary: $96,000 - $102,000 per annum (commensurate with experience and caliber). Accommodation: Fully furnished, private accommodation provided in each residence.
