A prestigious professional services firm is seeking an experienced US‑qualified tax professional to join its expanding London‑based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong US partnership tax experience who is looking to work with major asset management clients while developing leadership capability in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will join a thriving team of 50+ US tax specialists supporting a broad range of asset management clients, including hedge funds, private equity funds, debt funds, real estate funds and their management companies. The role offers exposure to complex, multi‑country projects and the chance to work closely with highly experienced tax professionals across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching and mentoring junior staff members, both onshore and offshore
Coordinating schedules, deadlines and deliverables across multiple engagement teams
Reviewing partnership tax returns, including Schedules K‑1, and ensuring accurate reporting
Managing complex fund compliance projects and supporting senior team members with client delivery
Applying deep technical knowledge of US tax concepts within the asset management industry

Proficiency in partnership allocations and an understanding of private equity carry waterfalls
Practical knowledge of international tax concepts, including PFICs, CFCs and foreign reporting forms (926, 8865, 8621, 5471, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
CPA, EA or equivalent US tax qualification
Significant experience preparing and reviewing US partnership tax returns and Schedules K‑1
Strong experience computing taxable income and partnership allocations for private equity funds
Solid understanding of relevant US tax laws and international filing requirements
