Team Leicester Bouldering Coach (Casual)
Are you passionate about climbing and helping others develop their skills?
The University of Leicester is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Bouldering Coach to support the Team Leicester Mountaineering Club.
You'll work with a motivated group of student climbers, delivering high-quality coaching sessions that support skill development, progression, and participation.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging bouldering coaching sessions.
- Support climbers of varying abilities to develop technique, movement, strength, and confidence.
- Help create an inclusive, supportive and challenging training environment.
- Work closely with the student committee and Sport & Active Life staff.
- Support the club's development and progression throughout the academic year.
Essential Requirements
-Mountain Training Development Coach qualification.
- Ability to climb at V7 grade or above.
- Significant practical bouldering and coaching experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students in a university environment.
Desirable Requirements
- Mountain Training Performance Coach qualification.
- Experience coaching within a club, higher education, or performance environment.
- Experience supporting climbers preparing for competitions or personal performance goals.
