SEND Teaching Assistant Collyhurst

About the role:

Justteachers Teaching Agency are currently working with a supportive and welcoming primary school in the Collyhurst area who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support within a brand new resource provision.

This is a full-time role to start in September. The position is expected to continue until the end of the current academic year, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the successful candidate.

The school has a caring and inclusive environment where staff work closely together to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive both academically and emotionally. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing school community and make a real difference to a child’s learning experience in a brand new state of the Art resource provision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing dedicated support for a variety of children who will be new to the provision
• Supporting the child’s learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

Pre-requisites:

• Two education based references
• Experience working in a Primary setting and Resource Provision experience desirable
• The willingness to be flexible across the Units
• An enhanced clear DBS
