As a Senior Data Platform Engineer – Trading & Data Infrastructure, you will be working for a global quantitative & systematic investment manager leveraging cutting-edge technology and scientific methods across all liquid asset classes. You will help build the robust, scalable data engine powering real-time trading insights, enabling smarter, faster decision-making in high-pressure markets.
Your main responsibilities:
Design & implement systems to collect, process, and manage large-scale market and internal datasets
Build and maintain high-performance, reliable data pipelines and services using Python, Airflow, and AWS/S3
Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions with Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack
Integrate data workflows into production environments collaborating with engineers and researchers
Improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline deployment and operations
Advance expertise in distributed computing, storage architectures, and performance optimization
You're ideal for this role if you have:
5+ years of experience in data engineering, system automation, or related fields
Strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting
Solid understanding of ETL processes, time-series data, SQL, and Pandas
Hands-on Linux, networking, and performance troubleshooting skills
Experience with containers, orchestration tools (Airflow, ECS/EKS is a plus), and observability/metrics stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS at scale (e.g., ECS/EKS, S3)
Ownership mindset, problem-solving aptitude, and the eagerness to work closely with trading teams
It is a strong plus if you have:
Experience with ClickHouse, Pandas, SQL, market data, and trading systems
Exposure to distributed computing and storage solutions
