SEN Support – Mainstream Primary School

Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Role Type: Long‑term supply
Start Date: September
Pay: Competitive daily rate / paid in line with experience

Protocol Education are working with a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Chelmsford who are seeking a dedicated SEN Support professional for a long‑term role starting in September.

This position involves supporting pupils with additional needs within a mainstream classroom setting, working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to help pupils access learning and reach their full potential.

The Role:

  • Providing targeted 1:1 and small‑group SEN support
  • Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties
  • Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Helping pupils develop independence, confidence and engagement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting
  • Be patient, caring and proactive
  • Have a good understanding of inclusion and behaviour support strategies
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Hold relevant SEN or education experience (qualifications desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
