What You’ll Do
As the Sourcing Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting customer requests, identifying strategic sourcing opportunities, and driving supplier performance across a wide range of commodities and technical products. You’ll work closely with suppliers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure customers receive cost-effective, high-quality solutions with strong turnaround times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage new product requests and ad hoc sourcing initiatives
- Source products and suppliers to support customer and operational demands
- Support sales teams with technical product inquiries and solution recommendations
- Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and terms
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, lead-time improvements, and enhanced product offerings
- Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to improve sourcing strategies
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and performance
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to maximize customer success and business growth
- Manage tender inquiries and supplier contract negotiations
- Develop a strong understanding of product applications, supplier capabilities, and industry trends
- Ensure timely turnaround on sourcing requests and customer inquiries
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Background in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations preferred
- Experience with supplier evaluation, negotiation, and vendor management
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to learn and absorb technical product information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP ERP experience highly preferred
- Strategic mindset with a proactive and flexible approach
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to support colleagues and collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with industrial supplies, MRO parts, critical spares, or electrical components is highly desirable
