You will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems, enabling us to deliver innovative and impactful healthcare services to millions of patients. This role will provide technical leadership across Humana's subsidiaries.<p style="text-align:inherit"><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span class="WKM0">         </span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Strategic Leadership:</b><span> Develop and execute a long-term compute platform product strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.</span></li><li><b>Team Management:</b><span> Recruit, hire, and develop a talented team of engineers. Provide mentorship and guidance to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.</span></li><li><b>Technical Leadership:</b><span> Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of compute platforms, including virtualization and middleware technologies across Humana subsidiaries.</span></li><li><b>Performance Optimization:</b><span> Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of compute platforms to ensure high availability, low latency, and scalability.</span></li><li><b>Security and Compliance:</b><span> Implement robust security measures and compliance frameworks to protect patient data and meet industry regulations.</span></li><li><b>Cost Management:</b><span> Manage compute platform costs effectively while balancing performance and reliability requirements.</span></li><li><b>Innovation:</b><span> Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the compute platform space. Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve our systems and services.</span></li></ul><h1><br /><b>Use your skills to make an impact </b><br /> </h1><p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><span>10+ years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure management</span></li><li><span>5 years directly leading engineering teams.</span></li><li><span>2+ yeares of experience deploying compute platform technologies, including virtualization, middleware technologies, cloud, database and storage.</span></li><li><span>2+ years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</span></li><li><span>Proven track record of building and scaling high-performance distributed systems.</span></li><li><span>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.</span></li><li><span>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</span></li><li><span>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.</span></li><li><span>Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.</span></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Additional Information</b></p><p></p><p><b>This position follows a remote work style however the candidate must live close to one of our designated IT locations: Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; New York City; Washington, D.C: Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, Chicago, IL or Charlotte, NC</b></p><p></p><p><span>As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we will be using an interviewing technology called HireVue to enhance our hiring and decision-making ability.
