Are you looking for meaningful school-based experience before moving into educational or clinical psychology?<br> <br>*** Psychology Graduate Academic Mentor<br> *** £85 - £101 per day<br> *** Academic Year – September 2026 to July 2027<br> *** ‘Good’ school based in Shrewsbury<br> *** Provide tailored interventions to students with additional needs<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>The Role:</strong><br> Provide tailored intervention and academic support for students with additional needs across the school day. You will work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping students build confidence, manage routines, stay focused in lessons, and access learning in a way that works for them.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>The Candidate:</strong><br> You are calm, observant, and able to build trust through consistency and clear communication. You want practical school-based experience, you can stay patient in a busy setting, and you are interested in how focused support helps young people overcome barriers to learning and feel more secure in school.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>Requirements</strong><br><ul><li>Degree – A 2:2 or above in Psychology or a related subject.</li><li>Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.</li><li>Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.</li><li>Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.</li><li>Career Goals – A desire to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.</li></ul><strong> </strong><br><strong>The School:</strong><br> This ‘Good’ school based in Shrewsbury offers the chance to build valuable experience in a setting where structure, patience, and purposeful support matter.
