About the Role
<p><b>Are you passionate about sustainability and looking for a rewarding job?</b></p><p></p><p>Pioneer Recycling, a Waste Connections Company, seeks a dedicated Scale House Attendant to join our team!</p><p><br /><b>Location:</b> Frederickson, WA<br /> </p><p><b>Schedule:</b> Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute break)<br /> </p><p><b>Compensation:</b> $20.00 to $22.00/hour + $1.00/hour for Spanish-speaking candidates</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Manage Excel spreadsheets to track and analyze recycling data</li><li><div>Utilize WasteWorks to automate ticketing, billing, and reporting while managing waste transactions, customer data, and syncing information between the scale house and office.</div></li><li><div>Assist with invoicing and administrative tasks</div></li><li>Provide exceptional customer service to drivers during weigh-ins</li><li>Conduct scale house duties, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with regulations</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum 1 year of administrative experience</li><li>Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)</li><li>Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor</li><li>Comfortable working in a dynamic environment typical of a recycling sorting center</li><li>Attention to detail for accurate data entry and measurements</li><li>Ability to multitask and handle high-volume traffic</li><li>Strong communication skills for interacting with drivers and team members</li><li>Basic math skills for calculating weights and measurements</li><li><b>Preferred:</b> Proficiency in Spanish</li><li><b>Safety Sensitive: </b>No</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We Offer:</b></p><ul><li>A friendly and supportive work environment, emphasizing our Servant Leadership culture with frequent check-ins from leadership—your voice matters!</li><li>Opportunities to grow within a leading company in waste management</li><li>A dedicated workspace with shared break areas</li><li>Join a team of over 24,000 employees across the U.S. and Canada</li></ul><p></p><p>To be considered for any of our current openings, you must complete an application at www.careers.wasteconnections.com.
