About the Role
OneStream Technical Specialist – Role Overview
We’ve partnered with a leading international group undergoing a major finance transformation to recruit a OneStream Technical Specialist. This position offers strong exposure to Group Finance, IT, and senior stakeholders, with a central role in shaping and expanding the OneStream platform across the organization.
This is a hands-on technical role with strategic impact, without team management responsibilities.
1. Transformational & Operational Scope
Technical & Transformation Responsibilities
• Support the technical transformation of the OneStream platform across the group-wide Finance function.
• Deliver implementations, integrations, and automation initiatives, ensuring the platform is fully embedded within the broader technology landscape.
• Organize and execute enhancement and improvement projects based on evolving business needs.
• Recommend and implement technical developments aimed at improving platform quality, stability, and performance.
• Take ownership of the platform’s technical architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and alignment with functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain interfaces for data import into OneStream and data export to downstream systems.
• Ensure secure and robust system design aligned with new modules, developments, and organizational structures.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flows, admin manuals, and user guides.
Operational Responsibilities
• Act as a key technical specialist and escalation point for OneStream-related topics.
2. OneStream Roadmap
Current Status
• Consolidation module developed and operational.
• ESG reporting module developed and undergoing final testing.
Planned / Under Approval
• Migration to OneStream Cloud, scheduled for mid-2026.
Key Initiatives for 2026
o Enhancements to the Consolidation module, including automated data collection (Excel import forms).
o Automation of Cash Flow reporting.
o Development of Narrative Reporting capabilities.
o Implementation of a Tax Provisioning solution.
Key Initiatives for 2026–2028
o Creation of a unified integration platform for Consolidation and FP&A to enable automated data loading.
o Implementation of the FP&A module (Planning & Forecasting).
3. Broader Transformation Initiatives
The role will interact closely with several group-wide transformation programs, including:
• Deployment of a new accounting system for holding and service entities.
• Design and rollout of a unified integration platform for automated monthly data collection across all group entities, producing standardized files feeding directly into OneStream.
• Full involvement in technical implementation, testing, and Go-live phases.
4. Reporting Line & Key Stakeholders
Reporting Line
• Reports directly to the Group’s Head of Technical Finance Systems.
Daily Collaboration With
• Group Finance teams (Consolidation, Controlling, Tax, ESG)
• Operational Finance teams across multiple business units
• IT teams (architecture, integrations, platform management)
• External implementation and support partners
• The broader OneStream community
