Art Technician, Secondary School

As an Art Technician, you will: Delivering technical support for the art department, including creating student art showcases and exhibitions Maintain, organise, and repair art materials and other equipment Managing the inventory of art materials and tools Assisting with the setup and clean-up of specific art lessons Ensuring all technical operations comply with school policies and health and safety regulations Supervising art facilities during non-teaching periods and offering technical support to students who wish to use the facilities Assist during art lessons, e.g. helping students with basic techniques and procedures Participating in bi-monthly art department meetings What We’re Looking For A Bachelor's degree in art and proven experience in the field or in a closely related field such as design or photography Hands-on experience with a diverse range of creative techniques A practical approach and effective problem-solving abilities Organisational talent Previous experience in a school or youth setting, whether voluntary or paid, and the ability to support students A very good command of English Strong communication abilities and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team
