Guidance appointment
Our impartial Careers Consultants can assist you to make informed decisions about your career and education plans. In a guidance appointment you can:
explore your options if you're unsure what to do during or after your time at university
get support if you are thinking about changing or leaving your course
plan your next steps
identify your skills and spot any gaps
improve your applications and personal statements
They can also offer interview coaching so you can practice, get feedback and build confidence.
To access interview coaching, you’ll usually need a confirmed interview and have had interview preparation advice from us in an Information appointment.
Information appointment
Need help finding the right information? Our Information and Insights Advisers can support you in an information appointment with advice on tailored resources for:
searching for graduate and part-time jobs in the UK and abroad based on your preferred roles and sectors
finding placements, internships, work experience and volunteering in your area of career interest
researching different careers and employers
preparing for interviews and assessment centres
making useful contacts
They can also give feedback on CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and teacher training personal statements.
Not sure what you want to do or what your next steps should be? If so, we’d recommend starting with a guidance appointment before booking an information appointment. It’s a great way to explore your options!
