<p>Nestled deep in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, <strong>Dunton Hot Springs</strong> and <strong>Dunton River Camp</strong> are two intimate Relais &amp; Châteaux properties operated by Dunton.</p><p>Dunton Hot Springs is a restored 19th-century ghost town set around natural mineral hot springs at 8,800 feet, offering an all-inclusive, cabin-based experience rooted in authenticity and quiet luxury. Dunton River Camp, located along the Dolores River, is a seasonal luxury tented camp and Orvis-endorsed fly-fishing destination, hosting up to 16 guests each summer.</p><p>Together, the properties accommodate up to 70 guests and operate with a high degree of personalization and discretion.</p><p>We are seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to support both properties and work closely with ownership and the General Manager in leading daily operations and maintaining Relais &amp; Châteaux standards.</p><br /><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><strong>Operations &amp; Guest Experience</strong></p><ul><li><p>Support day-to-day oversight of both properties</p></li><li><p>Lead by example in delivering seamless, anticipatory service</p></li><li><p>Ensure excellence across rooms, food &amp; beverage, and guest programming</p></li><li><p>Personally handle guest feedback and operational challenges</p></li></ul><p><strong>Team Leadership</strong></p><ul><li><p>Support recruitment, training, and development of seasonal and year-round teams</p></li><li><p>Mentor department heads and supervisors</p></li><li><p>Foster a culture of accountability and genuine hospitality</p></li></ul><p><strong>Financial &amp; Administrative</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and labor management</p></li><li><p>Oversee cost control, inventory, and vendor relationships</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with safety, HR, and licensing requirements</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>This position is primarily based at Dunton Hot Springs, with involvement at River Camp during its summer season. The role requires flexibility, visibility, and a willingness to lead from the floor in a remote mountain setting.</p><p>This is not a corporate environment, but a small, high-performing team committed to delivering a deeply personal guest experience.</p><br /><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>3–5 years of senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality</p></li><li><p>Strong background in both Rooms and Food &amp; Beverage operations</p></li><li><p>Experience in boutique, remote, or all-inclusive properties preferred</p></li><li><p>Financially literate and operationally confident</p></li><li><p>Calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented</p></li></ul><p>Experience within Relais &amp; Châteaux or similar collections is a plus.</p><br /><p> </p><p> </p>
