JOB PURPOSE:
The main purpose of this role is to effectively and efficiently coordinate and manage the operations of the Theatre and support the faculty and students in the ASW Performing Arts program.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
● University degree is preferred
● Ability and willingness to work with students, faculty, parents and the community
● Knowledge and expertise in the area of theatre arts and theatre management
● Interest in remaining apprised of best practice, research and technology and management in the area of theatre arts
● Fluency in oral and written Polish and English
● Willingness to adjust to flexible working hours
JOB FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES & MEASURE:
● Maintains and communicates the master calendar of the theatre.
● Makes arrangements for scheduling all theatre events.
● Supervises the operation of all equipment necessary for the support of theatre events.
● Oversees and assists individuals and/or groups that rent or use the theatre; and if available and on a case-by-case basis, in the Multipurpose Room or other venues on campus.
● Ensures that all theatre equipment is in good condition and makes arrangements for repair, if needed.
● Implements school policies and goals.
● Works in consultation with appropriate Cost Center Heads to create and submit an annual theatre budget.
● Develops appropriate short-and long-term maintenance plans, and is able to adapt plans when needed.
● Uses computer technology and software that supports theatre events.
● Develops and maintains an operational manual designed for ease of use of theatre equipment.
● Arranges for proper accounting of and security of theatre assets.
● Promotes community use of the theatre.
● Confers with the appropriate administrative personnel and reviews activities and operations to determine changes in policies or operations if required.
● Assists teachers as needed, in preparing for, and during, assemblies and performances in the main theatre, and if available and on a case-by-case basis, in the Multipurpose Room or other venues on campus.
● Takes a leading role in working with students interested in learning aspects of theatre management.
● Works closely with facilities and maintenance personnel to ensure all events comply with security and safety policies and practices.
● Develops, maintains and fosters positive association with key stakeholders and community to ensure proper function and execution of hosted events.
