Attention: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will not cover the $100,000 fee, if applicable, for initial H-1B I-129 petitions filed on behalf of individuals located outside the United States, nor for any H-1B I-129 petitions submitted by the institution to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation on H-1B nonimmigrants issued on Sept. 19, 2025. Additionally, new H1-B visa petitions will not be initiated without express approval from the Texas Workforce Commission, and will be done solely at TTUHSC’s discretion. Applicants seeking change of status or change of employer petitions for qualifying positions are not guaranteed this option.
