About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Northamptonshire. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026, offering an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Provide targeted interventions for individuals and small groups to raise attainment.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring every child can succeed.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
Pre-requisites:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working within a UK primary school.
- A good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting learning.
- Two recent education or school-based references.
