Core Responsibilities Production Management: Direct daily manufacturing workflows to achieve output goals, adjusting schedules based on demand or equipment issues. Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to minimize operational costs. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing personnel while maintaining a strong safety culture and enforcing compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Supply Chain Management, maintenance, quality assurance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless product delivery. This role is responsible for meeting production goals, developing manufacturing teams, improving processes, and partnering with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production. Key ResponsibilitiesDirect daily manufacturing and production activities to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery goals. Adjust production schedules and resources based on demand, staffing, equipment availability, and operational issues. Identify production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing employees and frontline leaders. Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company requirements. Partner with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to resolve production issues and maintain efficient product flow. Establish and monitor KPIs related to productivity, throughput, quality/defects, cost, and overall operational performance. Drive corrective actions and process improvements based on performance data. Communicate manufacturing/program status, operational risks, performance, and financial health to executive leadership and clients. Support cost-control initiatives while maintaining production and quality standards. EducationBachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
