About the role:

justteachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school from September 2026. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
• Develop and implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence and confidence.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
