Acting Nurse Manager – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Belfast Sector: Elderly Care / Nursing Home Salary: Competitive – Based on Experience Contract: Fixed Term (6 Months) An established, award-winning care provider in Belfast is seeking an experienced Acting Nurse Manager to lead one of their well-regarded nursing homes on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior nurse or experienced Clinical Lead ready to step into a home-level leadership role, with full operational and clinical responsibility. The Opportunity This is a hands-on leadership position where you will: Lead and manage the daily operations of the nursing home Ensure compliance with RQIA standards and regulatory requirements Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and medication management Support and develop nursing and care teams Participate in the on-call rota Manage staffing levels, rotas, and performance reviews Maintain strong relationships with families, GPs, community teams and external professionals Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain audit standards What We’re Looking For Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN Significant experience in a senior nursing or management role within a care home Strong knowledge of RQIA standards and regulated services Experience managing staff and overseeing clinical care delivery Confident decision-maker with strong leadership presence Excellent communication and organisational skills Up-to-date PDP and commitment to ongoing professional development Right to work in the UK The Organisation Established elderly care provider with strong reputation Supportive senior management structure Structured leadership support Values-led, resident-focused culture Opportunity to gain or further develop Nurse Manager-level experience This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced senior nurse seeking progression, or an established Nurse Manager looking for a short-term leadership contract within a stable and supportive environment.
