SolidWorks CAD Designer

CTR Group is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer - SolidWorks for an Aerospace Company in the Newport News, VA area. Generous Pay Range and Benefits SUMMARY: Seeking Designers with 3D Design and SolidWorks expertise to develop 3D solid models of mechanical components and assemblies Provide CAD models at various stages of the design development Create 3D surface models according to aerodynamic profiles Work closely with Engineering to refine design and solve problems Interact with the Fabrication staff to ensure manufacturability Interact with Programming staff to ensure content of solid model Select standard components for use in the design Perform material selection and sizing of components REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree and 3 + years of related experience (aerospace, automotive, or other 3D surfacing experience), or equivalent combination SolidWorks proficiency required Solid modeling experience Understanding of GD&T US citizenship required CTR Group has been a leader in its industry for over 30 years and is rated highly on Google, Indeed and Facebook for being a great company to work for.
