(PK9152)</strong></p><p><strong>STRUCTURAL DESIGNER - CORRUGATED PACKAGING</strong></p><p><strong>WEST MIDLANDS</strong></p><p><strong>SALARY GUIDE: &#163;35-40K + 25 Days Holiday</strong></p><p><strong>HOURS: Monday to Thursday (9am till 5pm) &amp; Friday (8:30am till 4pm)</strong></p><p>Our client is an industry leading Corrugated Sheet Plant and Packaging materials supplier, they provide a full packaging solution to a variety of markets throughout the UK, specialising in bespoke corrugated packaging however they also supply a full range of consumables.</p><p>They are currently recruiting a Structural Designer to join their design department, taking on the role of the site's sole and lead designer.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate an AG CAD table for design and production support</li><li>Produce new structural designs based on customer briefs using Artios CAD</li><li>Create and manage samples for customer approval</li><li>Present design concepts directly to customers when required</li><li>Order print stereos and die-cut tooling</li><li>Receive, check and approve tooling and first-off production runs</li><li>Collaborate closely with production and design teams to ensure commercial efficiency</li><li>Provide hands-on production support for small runs using the CAD table</li><li>Demonstrate proven constructional design experience (essential)</li><li>Confident in dealing directly with customers</li><li>Liaise effectively with the sales team, management and shop floor personnel</li><li>Maintain a strong understanding of company capabilities, materials, and emerging technical developments</li><li>Manage workload effectively with strong organisational and time-prioritisation skills</li><li>Bring creativity, innovation, and individuality to design work</li><li>Show enthusiasm and passion for design and innovation</li></ul>
