About the Role

Anticipated, Secretary 12 Month Hillcrest Elementary School DESCRIPTION Anticipated, Secretary (12 Month) POSITION SUMMARY: Provide daily organizational, clerical and secretarial assistance to his/her designated supervisor(s). Under limited supervision as appropriate, the Secretary shall apply and share required levels of knowledge and skill, exercise independent judgment, and initiate independent action in his/her fulfillment of his/her assigned duties and contribute to the overall effective and efficient operation of his/her building or department and the district. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent 55 WPM typing speed (testing is a required portion of the hiring process) Prior secretarial experience Ability to maintain a positive working environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act Successful Criminal History Clearance Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior Public School experience Bilingual/ Multilingual TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 12 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement. COMPENSATION In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27SY Step 1, 12 Mo. ($56,193) - Step 13, 12 Mo. ($61,693). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.
