About the Role
We are looking for a technical project manager with a background in performance management / OSS / network configuration or service assurance who wants to join a permanent role with a company that is harnessing mobile networks for the aviation industry. This is a role that will harness your background in mobile analytics and assurance and match into the aviation industry, providing you with a platform for your career. My client is looking for a Technical Project Manager for an innovation start up that is bootstrapped, looking for investment, but has already partnered with the majority of Tier 1 companies like VF, Telefonica, Verizon and Swisscom, to name a few. The Technical Project Manager will get involved with the client's process definition, integration, and then eventually the day-to-day support, evangelisation, and expansion of the solution. If the candidate has experience in Business Process transformation, that would be ideal. Responsibilities • As Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the technical solution in a customer project and first contact person for technical matters • You will take care of the analysis and translation of customer requirements into system re- quirements • You will have the technical overview of individual projects (requirements, resources, etc) • You need to be or become proficient in all the technologies we’re using • You will be responsible for a smooth acceptance of the solution at the end of the project • You are handling the technical risk management including security and safety aspects • You will work in close cooperation with the commercial project manager • You will communicate internally with the whole team as well as externally with customers and partners Requirements • An academic background in computer science, communications engineering or a related field • Several years of experience in an interface function in IT / software / telecom customer pro- ject business (e.g. as a system engineer, technical solution manager, technical project man- ager, system architect) • Interest in business trips for customer interactions and acceptance • Team-oriented and structured personality with a confident and representative appearance • Solution-oriented thinking and willingness to make decisions • You have an entrepreneurial disposition; you are able to creatively solve hard problems, get up to speed quickly, and bring a curious, can-do zest to all the challenges you face.
