Maths Teacher - Stamford

About the role:

justteachers are currently recruiting for a full-time Maths Teacher position within a specialist provision in the Stamford area, starting in September on a long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher looking to make a meaningful impact within a specialist educational setting. The provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, learning difficulties, and associated communication needs.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting learning to meet individual needs and helping pupils build confidence, numeracy skills and positive attitudes towards learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
Differentiating learning to meet a range of SEN needs
Supporting pupils to develop numeracy, problem-solving and functional maths skills
Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
Creating a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress and attainment
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and external professionals
Supporting pupils’ communication, engagement and independence
Contributing to wider curriculum development and school life

Pre-requisites:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Maths within a secondary setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Experience teaching pupils with SEN, or a willingness to work within a specialist setting
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential

This role would suit experienced Maths teachers, ECTs looking for a supportive environment, or teachers seeking to develop their experience within specialist education.
As part of our safeguarding and compliance process, we require a minimum of two professional references covering the last two years in full, along with an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
