About the Role
<p>We are currently partnering with a leading nonprofit behavioral health organization that has been serving New Yorkers for decades through a wide range of housing, health care, and recovery programs. With a trauma-informed, whole-health approach, this organization supports thousands of individuals each year in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives.<br />
The organization is seeking a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Clinic Director to oversee one of its specialized programs. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, fiscal oversight, and staff development while promoting an evidence-based, person-centered model of treatment.</p>
<p>Title: LCSW Clinical Director<br />
Location: Brooklyn NY<br />
Salary: $105,000 to $110,000</p>
<p>Core Responsibilities for LCSW Clinical Director:<br />
• Provide overall leadership and direction for the daily operations of the SUD clinic.<br />
• Design, implement, and update program policies and procedures in alignment with state and city requirements (OASAS/DOH/OMH).<br />
• Establish and monitor quality benchmarks, performance metrics, and outcome goals to ensure excellence in care.<br />
• Partner with senior leadership to develop initiatives that reflect the organization’s mission and long-term vision.<br />
• Ensure services are grounded in evidence-based practices and delivered in a trauma-informed, client-focused manner.<br />
• Offer clinical oversight by reviewing treatment plans, documentation, and interventions as needed.<br />
• Track caseloads, outcomes, and service utilization to ensure program effectiveness.<br />
• Serve as the point of escalation for crisis situations, providing guidance and clinical expertise to staff.<br />
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate program staff while fostering a cohesive, high-performing team.<br />
• Lead regular team meetings and create opportunities for ongoing training and skill development.<br />
• Cultivate a supportive and accountable workplace culture that encourages professional growth.<br />
• Manage compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, including preparation for audits and inspections.<br />
• Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and financial stewardship of the program.<br />
• Build and sustain community relationships to strengthen referral networks and program visibility.<br />
• Advocate for program participants and promote greater awareness of substance use disorder services.<br />
• Maintain regular communication with executive leadership regarding program progress, challenges, and opportunities.<br />
• Perform additional leadership functions as needed to support program and organizational success.</p>
<p>Qualifications for LCSW Clinical Director<br />
• Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with active NYS registration; CASAC credential required.<br />
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.<br />
• Minimum of 2 years progressive administrative and/or supervisory experience.<br />
• Licensure must be maintained as a condition of employment.</p>
